MyMy Foundation Matcher Customisation

MyMy foundation matcher is an app that allows the user to find the exact shade of foundation to match their skin. It does this by recording a video of the user wearing known foundation, and uses that to compare it against a library of foundations. These documents describe the customisation options that Anthropics provides to tailor the user experience.

Splash Screen

The first screen is completely customisable to any design. The only requirement is that there is a call to action to start the process which leads to the instruction screen.

Instructions

These are our recommended instructions for the first screen. All elements are customisable. The Help button leads to the help screen. The Next button leads to the Foundation Details screen.

Help Screen

The help screen is completely customisable. The back button leads back to the Instructions screen.

Foundation Details

All the graphical elements are customisable. This is where the user enters their chosen foundation. They can type in the name of the Brand, Product, and Color, or choose them from a drop down menu. The Next button leads to the final set of instructions.

Video Instructions Part 1

This screen shows an animated gif showing the user what to do next: place three blobs of foundation on their face. The animation is completely customisable. The Next button leads to the Video Instructions Part 2

Video Instructions Part 2

The final instruction screen shows the user what to do once they have placed the dots on their face: take a video while turning on the spot. The animation is completely customisable. The record button at the bottom starts the recording of a video. The video is processed then the app moves to the next phase.

Foundation Tapping

The user is asked to tap on the three blobs. All graphical elements are customisable. Once the third blob is tapped, the Next button can lead them to the penultimate screen.

Preview choice

The user is then asked which picture they want to use to try on the foundation. This page is optional, as we could just pick a fixed frame from the video, but users have been found to prefer having control over this. All graphical elements are customisable. On pressing Next they are led to the foundation refiner.

Foundation Refiner

This page allows the user to pre-select a subset of foundations to display. The foundations can be categorised by anything you wish. We have chosen brand, ingredients, and price as an example. This page is optional, as the user gets the opportunity to set these later. All graphical elements are customisable. The Next button leads to the final screen.

Foundation Chooser

The final screen shows the user different foundations and lets them see them on their face, taken from the video with the blobs automatically removed. The name of the foundation can be displayed in any place on the screen. As they switch between foundations they can see how the different colors react with their skin. All graphical elements are customisable and optional. There can be options to buy the product directly, email, or share the resulting picture with their friends. The back button returns to the Foundation Refiner screen to let the user choose different price points or other refinement options.
